TY1-35 Scaling tablets

Scaling tablets are uronic acid compounds used for the mercerizing treatment of wool. They provide excellent chlorination and oxidation effects on the scale structure of wool fibers, enabling uniform scale removal. After mercerization and proper finishing, wool products can meet the "machine-washable" standard set by the International Wool Secretariat.

Application

Scaling Treatment (Exhaustion Method):
Scaling Tablets: 4.0–6.0% (o.w.f)
Adjust pH = 3.5–4.5
Bath ratio: 1:15–20
25°C or room temperature × 30–60 min

Dechlorination:
Sodium sulfite or sodium hydrosulfite: 4.0–5.0% (o.w.f)
30–45°C × 20–30 min

Neutralization:
Na₂CO₃: 2.0–4.0% (o.w.f)
Adjust pH = 8.0–9.0
45°C × 30 min → Rinse with hot water for 30 min → Overflow rinse three times

Scope of Application

Mercerizing treatment of wool tops and wool knit fleece.
Mercerizing treatment of worsted and woolen fabrics.

Precautions

1. As solid granules, the product must be fully dissolved before being added to the dyeing machine. Ensure uniform mixing before adding other auxiliaries.

2. As an oxidizing auxiliary, avoid using it together with reducing substances. Dechlorination is required after use.

3. Reseal after use to prevent degradation.

Storage

Store appropriately at room temperature in original packaging. Place in a clean, covered, and suitable container. Under such conditions, no handling or storage difficulties will arise.
